Catherine grinned, “I understand, I would be doing the same thing if it were one of my best friends.” Catherine understood. She truly did, nothing could put you in more pain when you see your best friend in pain. “You are equally amazing, Will!” He was he cared more about everyone else then himself.

Catherine cocked an eyebrow and turned her body to face him, “What do you need me to do?”

Will smiled, “Well I don’t have much experience when it comes to women. I would really like to take her to dinner, but I’m not sure how to go about any of it.” Will needed some kind of stability, to help him while he would be on his date with her if she said yes. He needed help from his friends, “So I was wondering if you and Tristan could come with us if she said yes.”

Will was nervous about asking her that, but he needed that reassurance that everything was going to be okay. Will got up, and kneeled down on one knee, “Please Catherine! I am begging you!” 

Catherine giggled, “That’s not a bad idea! It’s rather remarkable actually.” Catherine thought about his question, and she wondered how Emmy would react if she and Tristan were there. She really wanted to help him though, she could see he was in distress.

She laughed out loud when he got down on his knees and begged her, “Alright! Alright! Of course, but you might want to ask Tristan before you ask Emeline. I don’t know what he will say, but it’s alright with me!” Catherine laughed, and was rather excited about their little plan.

Catherine smirked and returned her eyes to the fountain, “Yes Will, I really do.” She felt like he was trying to get inside her mind, like he was trying to figure out what her intentions were. “Your really making me feel like I’m asking you to marry him or something.” She laughed. She knew Tristan and Will were pretty close, and if it were her best friend she would probably be doing the same thing.

Catherine smiled when he mentioned Emeline, “So, what do you plan to do about it?”

Will laughed for real, “Sorry, it’s just I really care about my friends. Especially Tristan he was my first mate here.” Will really thought about his friends, all of them. He was a compassionate and caring person when it came to the ones he loved. He loved all of his friends, and his family. “Your an amazing young woman, Catherine. That’s why I’m not nervous about you.”

Will swallowed a really big gulp, “That’s just it, Catherine. I don’t know what to do. That’s why I kinda need your help.”

Catherine grinned, “I understand, I would be doing the same thing if it were one of my best friends.” Catherine understood. Catherine tried not to smirk and she hoped her face wasn’t as red as it felt, “Well, yeah he’s on my mind.” She felt the blood flood her cheeks, “But I am thinking about my friends too, and my dad is slowly starting to welcome me back into his life, so yes Will things that make me happy. Tristan is one of those things.” Catherine smiled now. She didn’t care as long as Lady I didn’t know of her happiness, and try to bring it crashing down.

Catherine looked at him, “Any girl would be lucky to have you, Will you are a great man. You are very selfless.” Catherine complimented and she knew who he was talking about, and she decided to make him blush as he made her, “May I be so bold as to ask who you have got a little crush on?”

Will giggled at her blush, “You really do care about one of my best mates, don’t you?” Will was glad it was her instead of the other sluts here, and he was glad Catherine was down to earth and didn’t have her mind set on getting rich or diamonds. She had a real mind with real aspirations, and he could tell why Tristan was so attracted to her, “I’m glad it’s you Catherine, I really am.”

He bowed his head and smiled, “Well, it’s, it’s…” He trailed off wondering if he should tell her or not. He trusted her, but Emeline was one of her best friends, how could she keep that from her best friend. Still, Catherine understood things better then other women, and if he made her promise he knows she wouldn’t tell. Catherine was a surreal woman of her word, “Emeline.” He spoke with desire in his voice.

Catherine smirked and returned her eyes to the fountain, “Yes Will, I really do.” She felt like he was trying to get inside her mind, like he was trying to figure out what her intentions were. “Your really making me feel like I’m asking you to marry him or something.” She laughed. Will grinned, “Things that make you happy, huh? Like Tristan?” He loved messing with her, he loved messing with anyone who had a significant other. He didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, so he just went on with his question. He realized that he may have been prying so, “Do you think any ladies maid’s would go for me?” 

Will knew who he would’ve liked to have close, but that bloody Lady I was on every single relationships coattail. He was happy he it was her he was asking because she always gave the truth and didn’t hold back, a quality of Catherine’s he admired and now knew why Tristan kept her around.

Will smiled at her, “Thinking huh? About what, if you don’t mind my asking.” He semi kinda knew what, or who she was thinking about. He decided to let her confirm it though because he could’ve been wrong. He kept on watching the fountain with her, and he smiled. “The fountain is very relaxing. I understand why you would want to come out here to think.” He agreed, and he meant it. He enjoyed peaceful evenings like this, and he enjoyed the fact that he was having a conversation with someone who didn’t demand anything from him.

Will really thought about her question, and he wondered why he got asked that so much. “It isn’t really all it’s cracked up to be, honestly.” He replied, and he thought about all of the extra duties and the extra work he had to go through to get things done the way the royal’s like it. “I mean it’s great, but it does get tough at times.”

Will dropped the subject quickly because he did not want to talk about work, he wanted a regular conversation with a regular girl. “Catherine, could I ask you a question?” 

Catherine kept her eyes on the fountain, “Everything that is making me happy.” She smiled, she loved everything about her life here right now, and she couldn’t have asked for more. She didn’t see how things could’ve gotten better then this, but she wanted them to stay the same anyway. She was perfectly content.

Catherine wasn’t surprised when he told her it wasn’t anything to brag about. “I can see how it would be irritating.” Catherine understood. It was irritating enough just being a normal valet or ladies maid, but here he was a personal for the royals, and Catherine couldn’t even imagine it.

Catherine giggled, “You don’t have to ask if you could ask me a question, Will.”

Catherine was very bored. She tossed and turned in her bed, but she realized if she kept moving she would wake Maddie up, so she decided to take a walk. She put on her robe, and walked out of the servants quarters to the fountain. She loved the fountain at night, it was so beautiful. She could easily think by it too, so that’s where she decided to go. If she got her thoughts out there she might just get so caught up in them, she might finally get tired and go to sleep.

She stared at the swoosh of water, and got lost in her thoughts. She thought about everything her friends, Tristan, her life here. She pondered on all of the things making her happy at the moment, she might as well have been gazing into space. She was caught up in a embrace of bliss, she wanted to drown in it, but the sound of someone’s voice pulled her out of her thoughts.  

“Hello, Will! Yes, but I cannot sleep.” Catherine giggled.

“Neither can I! Do you mind?” Will asked her, kindly. When she moved over he sat with her, and stared at the fountain as she did. He wondered what made her come out here because this isn’t the first time he’s saw her out here, he figured it was what calmed her down and made her feel at home.

Will looked over at her, “What are you thinking about?”

Catherine smiled at his question, “I come out here to clear my head, you know get my thoughts together.” This was the one place Catherine could actually think, so she came here whenever she couldn’t sleep. She needed to gather her thoughts, so she could sleep. Truth was she was thinking happy thoughts for a change, and she liked that.

She assumed he was doing a last check like always so she didn’t ask him. She watched the fountain, “What’s it like being a personal valet for the royals?”

Will walked along the path that connected Versailles and the Grand Trianon. He was making sure everything was in order before he went to bed, and so far so good. He was extremely tired, and he just wanted to take off his uncomfortable wig to go to sleep. He shut his eyes at the thought of sleep, it felt to him like he hadn’t slept in ages.

He was in front of the Grand Trianon before he knew it, but then he noticed a figure sitting on a bench in front of a fountain. He went to see if it was a guest because he was not to disturb them if it was, but if it was a ladies maid or Tristan he might engage in a good conversation. He got closer and noticed a mane of scarlet red hair falling in ringlets down the figures back, and he knew it was Catherine. 

He went over to join her, “Your out a little late tonight, don’t you think?”
